Below is our standard estimate template for a [type of job] and a short description of how a job runs from sale to final invoice. Build a one-page job-costing checklist in three parts: before the job starts, at the midpoint and at close. For each check, say who is responsible, what they compare (estimate against actual for labor hours, materials, equipment, subcontractors and change orders) and which differences should be reported to the owner. Use only the cost categories in our template, in plain language a crew lead can follow. Do not set targets or percentages I have not given you. [Paste your estimate template and job steps]
